The purpose of this email is to introduce you to A Stitch Above. The small company located in Paradise, CA 95969. The owners, Lori and Steve Crowder, did the art work (digitizing) for the embroidered ball caps that I had available at the Louisville Reunion. Before the recent mini-reunion in Maryland, I sent A Stitch Above two of my favorite Polo shirts and a vest and asked them to embroider the LRP tab over the 9th Division Octofoil on them. They confirmed my order via email and promptly did the work and returned my clothing to me in time for the mini-reunion. I paid the postage to and from them and the cost of the embroidery work. I wore the shirts at the mini-reunion in Maryland and the guys like them. Several asked about getting one of the ball caps and how to order the “new” shirts. In furtherance of our agenda to “honor ourselves as veterans”, I have talked with A Stitch Above and worked out these ordering options: 1. You can call them and ask about what they have available in new stock for caps, jackets and shirts and order the items directly from them with the LRP tab and 9th Division Octofoil embroidery. You pay for the new items, the cost of the embroidery and postage. 2. You can send them your favorite shirts, jackets and/or vests (properly laundered, of course) and they will embroidered the LRP tab and 9th Division Octofoil on them. You decide what you want embroidered with the LRP tab and the 9th Division Octofoil. You pay the postage to-and-from and the cost of the embroidery. 3. And finally, you can talk with them about doing original art work for you and producing a “one of a kind” design. Ordering from A Stitch Above means you do not have to order a lot of inventory to get a price break. Their motto is “Everything can be done with NO MINIMUMs”. I think A Stitch Above provides us with an opportunity to “show our colors” and honor E/50 LRP, 9th Division in a manner that is fitting and dignified.
